Who publishes this site
BMX Parts Depot publishes and maintains this reference alongside its eBay store. The store handle is bmx-parts-depot. For a question about a particular used part, use its listing and photographs, or email the shop.
Our focus is used-part identification and fitment: what a component is, which measurements decide whether it fits, and what to check in a listing. The guides are published under the business name.
How to read the sources
Manufacturer specifications describe a particular product. Repair references explain systems and procedures. Retailer listings can help identify a part, but a listing alone does not establish an industry-wide standard.
Links beside sections and in specification tables identify the documents for the topic or model named there. A source supporting one row does not automatically support the whole table. Compare the model, dimensions and interface before applying a figure to a different part.
Confirmed means the stated figure has corroborating sources in our research. Single source means one source supports it. Sources vary means the disagreement remains visible. Unpublished or Unverified means we have not established the figure and are not supplying a guessed number. These labels describe our evidence, not a certification by the brands named.
Two websites repeating the same chart are not necessarily independent evidence. Where a source conflicts with another, the guide should explain the disagreement rather than quietly selecting the more convenient figure. Sources and labels can need correction as new evidence appears.
Bench measurements and illustrations
Blocks labelled Depot Caliper Verification identify the recorded part and measuring tool for shop measurements. They describe that specimen, not a manufacturing tolerance for every example of the model. Diagrams explain an interface; they are not photographs or proof of a physical inspection.
For a purchase, compare the guide with the actual part's condition, markings and dimensions. A nominal size alone cannot establish wear or compatibility.
Updates and corrections
The visible Updated date records an editorial change to that page. It does not mean every external source or product was rechecked on that date. Automated tools assist with editing and maintaining these guides. Manufacturer documents, published references and recorded shop measurements are the evidence behind the technical advice.
If a figure or explanation looks wrong, send a correction with the guide link, the section, the part model and any manufacturer document or clear measurement that supports the correction. We can then check the evidence and update the affected guide and related answers together.
Find the right reference
Start with the Fitment Guide and A-Z glossary for a particular component, or the BMX Tech and Sizing FAQ for buying and sizing questions. The eBay store carries current listings; these reference pages are not live stock or price promises.
